EarthSol came together
in Bellecourt Place, an old church abbey in downtown Belleville, Illinois,
and they've been jamming ever since. By adding lyrical insight and a
sprinkle of spicy groove sauce to their original and cover tunes, they
create an eclectic sound that is uniquely EarthSol. Through the magical
milieu of music, their union has produced many diverse and intense visions
of the human condition and they've done it all while rocking booties!
Sometimes in an acoustic setting, sometimes in an electric.
Vocalist Kim Vrooman
"sings "with dangerous abandon, jacking words like a thief." Named Best
Female Vocalist in St. Louis 2003 by the Riverfront Times, and her
open mic at the Shanti in Historic Soulard won Best Open Mic in St. Louis
2008.
Matt Scott has been
playing guitar and studying music since he can remember and he concocts
some tasty originals.
Paul the Drummer bangs out extraordinaire drum
beats while Dan Cross takes trips up and down the neck, mixing bass tones
with riffs listeners are sure to enjoy.
EarthSol composes fascinating
original tunes such as Steel Your
Love, Babble, Fond of You, Right Now, Testament, Go Crazy, I Stand
and Let It Go, and
the whole band works together to make each song something special.
They also cover favorites such as:

River by Johnny Cash, I Shot the Sheriff by Bob Marley, Yer Blues by the
Beatles, Have a Cigar by Pink Floyd, and

Dan Cross
Bass
Dan Cross hails from ol’
Bellevegas: he lives downtown with his son and roommate Clay. He
loves smacking on the bass strings while taking trips up and
down the neck, mixing bass tones with lead riffs. His
style is perky and experimental: always entertaining. He
loves any kind of music he can find. It is all expression
of people on the planet. He likes kindness
and honesty. He likes making things--art, music, movies,
and lots of other stuff. He dislike violence, selfishness, and
Budweiser but he drank one at Midwest Mayhem. He likes people,
individually and in groups. He refuses to lie about anything,
like James Spader in "Sex, Lies, and Videotape." .
He also heads up the Film Department at Southwestern Illinois
College. |

Matt Scott
Lead Guitar/ Vocals
Matt
Scott has been playing guitar and studying music composition
since he can remember. His favorite time is spent being with
his family or being with his guitar. He is also finishing up a
degree in Electrical Engineering and thinks this knowledge has
positively influenced his understanding of both the
amplification and electronic sides of popular music. He is
wide open and he loves listening to a wide variety of music, but
some of the bands he most admires are: The Who, Led Zeppelin,
Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Phish, The Dead, and countless other wonderful folks that have
given him his rockin roots. He is also an electrical engineer by
day. |

and rock music scenes. He has toured the world playing jazz as

you love? He's got them in his tool box! What style is
your favorite? He can give it to ya! From acid jazz to
